We’re building something new around a simple idea: good food should taste like good food.
Over time, convenience and heavily processed foods have changed a lot about the way we eat. Somewhere along the way, some of the simple flavors, recipes, and foods we remember became harder to find — or simply less familiar.
We want to help bring some of that back.
Not by trying to recreate the past, but by taking what we know about good food and using it to build something new.
Food runs in the family.
Some of what we’re working on comes from recipes our family has made, tested, and refined for years. Other products start with an ingredient we love, a food we remember, or simply an idea we think could be better.
We make it, taste it, adjust it, and keep working until it’s something we’d be happy to put on our own table.
That’s the standard.
What we’re working on.
We’re starting with Motherland Pickle Co., where we’re developing fermented, pickled, and marinated vegetables using recipes and techniques we know well.
But pickles are only the beginning.
We’re exploring fresh foods, interesting beverages, teas and coffees, and other ideas we think deserve a place at the table.
We’re also interested in finding great foods being made around us. As Lireda grows, we want to work with local producers, discover products worth sharing, and make it easier for people in our community to find and enjoy them.
Farmer’s Basket is one of our first experiments in that direction — a curated selection of fresh produce, with room to become something much more over time.
We’re starting small, learning as we go, and building one good idea at a time.
Eat good food.
Be here from the start.
