Founding Team
Food Production & Operations Lead
Our Mission
Our mission is to establish a modern food company that sources, creates, and delivers thoughtfully made food while making it easy to discover, purchase, and enjoy exceptional products from both our own brands and local producers.
We believe good food starts with quality ingredients, thoughtful production, and doing things the right way. Our goal is to create products people trust and make them easy to discover, purchase, and enjoy.
We plan to build a family of food brands while creating opportunities for other local producers to reach more customers through both our physical locations and our online marketplace. We believe stronger local businesses create stronger communities.
Where We Are Today
Over the past several years, we've refined our recipes, invested in equipment and refrigerated transportation, built our brand, and assembled a small, dedicated team of professionals committed to bringing this vision to life.
We're building this company for the long term. We know there will be challenges along the way, and we're committed to solving them, learning from them, and continuously improving. That's how we believe lasting companies are built.
We've built the foundation. Now we're ready for the next step.
The Next Step
Establishing our production operation is the next critical step in moving the business forward.
We're looking for someone who shares our commitment to operational excellence in food production and can help us establish the systems, standards, and regulatory foundation needed to launch with confidence.
This role is our immediate priority because it unlocks everything that comes next. We're ready to start talking with qualified candidates now.
The Role
You'll work alongside us to establish a safe, efficient, and well-run production operation.
Initially, your focus will be to:
- Establish a compliant commercial food production operation
- Guide us through food safety requirements, certifications, licensing, and inspections
- Develop production procedures, documentation, and standard operating procedures
- Evaluate equipment, workflow, and production methods
- Prepare the business for a successful production launch
Once production is underway, you'll also:
- Produce products according to established recipes and quality standards
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and consistency
- Improve recipes and production processes
- Research, test, and develop new food and beverage products
About You
You have experience in commercial food production and understand what it takes to operate a safe and compliant facility. You're organized, dependable, and enjoy solving problems.
You take pride in doing things well, aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves, and know that the little details matter. You're comfortable making recommendations, asking questions, and improving the way things are done.
Most importantly, you're someone who believes in what we're building and wants to help create a company you'll be proud to be part of.
We'd probably work well together if you:
- Have experience in commercial food production, manufacturing, or commercial kitchens
- Understand food safety, sanitation, HACCP principles, and regulatory compliance
- Have experience creating or following production documentation and SOPs
- Enjoy learning, experimenting, and continuously improving
- Are dependable, accountable, and practical
- Want to help build something that lasts
Relevant food-safety credentials are important for this role. Product-specific requirements can vary by process, so additional training may be needed as the operation expands.
What You Can Expect
We're ready to move quickly, but we're focused on finding the right person rather than simply filling the role.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to help establish a company from the beginning and grow alongside it. We value ownership, thoughtful ideas, and people who take pride in doing things well.
We're looking for a long-term relationship. If we find the right person, we'd rather grow the role around their strengths than fit them into a predefined box.
- Flexible part-time or contract arrangement to start
- Competitive compensation based on experience
- Signing bonus for the right candidate
- Flexible scheduling based on production needs
- A meaningful voice in how our production operation is built
- Opportunity to grow into greater responsibility as the company grows
